By bar my favorite holiday, the 4th of July! Load the car. The sun is out. Hit the road headed to the beach in my new fully electric car which I unplugged from my own power source created by activity that take place right in my home, along with solar & wind energy caught on my roof.
On the way to the beach the light poles all have wind turbines which capture the wind generated by the car that drive by. That energy is stored and will be used to light my way home in the dark.
Once at the beach, it's time to hit the arcade and go-karts! The arcade is the first of it's kind. It harnesses the power generated by all the activities going on. The go-karts are of course electric.
We then find our spot on the beach to watch the fireworks show. Finding a good spot has become harder in recent years. Every year there is a new wind turbine up on the beach harnessing the power of the wind. The swimming area has been cut down because tidal turbines have been installed to capture the power of the tides moving in and out. Not exactly a classical beach, but still wonderful to enjoy.
Soon the firework are going off and the parties begin! Afterwards, we find our way back to the car, unplug it from the local pay-n-power-n-park lot & head home.
Another fun holiday, but nothing like the ones I had when I was a kid, but the joy my kid has is still the same!
