Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

This topic has already been discussed throughout a huge PM network, but I figured it would be a great idea to get this out in the open and collaborate with the entire EVOKE network over the matter. Apparently there might be a "uniform"-type item coming out in the future, but how would everyone feel about this? Or what would you prefer?

Something like a Livestrong band that you could easily put on and wear, or possibly a bandanna that could double as an armband or something? Or maybe even a simply patch with the EVOKE lettering on it?

Ideas would be fantastic! Let's brainstorm this out. How cool would it be to just be walking around your city one day, and see someone with an EVOKE indentifier on? I would really feel like I was part of a secret network in the background of things.

but isn't it supposed to be a secret organization?

i like the idea of a bandanna. ties it with the culture of grassroots movements for me.
a bandanna is also a useful tool as the boyscouts have shown the world (bandannas can be emergency medical equipment, flags, knots, masks, plugs you name it) and that embraces a spirit of functionality that i hope is present in this game.

From a flavor standpoint, I like the idea of an EVOKE patch the best. Of course, in theory, we want something that stands out, that starts conversations and links others up.

I like the Livestrong band and bandana ideas, personally. In addition to helping to promote chance encounters in cities and towns across the world, it would also help facilitate regional meet-ups for EVOKE agents who want to get together and discuss ideas amongst themselves. (Ideally, of course, you'd video record the conversation and put it up here for all our fellow agents to see.)

Addendum: that is to say, it'd be easier for groups of nearby EVOKE agents to arrange a meeting if, when getting to the arranged location, the participants are all looking for a Livestrong band of a certain color or bandana/armband with a certain design on it.

I'm a supporter of bracelets like the Livestrong bands. However, I do like the idea of bandannas. I think it would be neat to have certain colours for certain countries, or areas.

Great idea. Some members might not like branding themselves with a logo but others may welcome it. Maybe you have some design ideas to share?

That's a cool idea, Panamericana, but then you limit the ability to see it to people who own phones with video cameras in them. Mobile phones are almost ubiquitous, even in poorer countries. But the phones that can run Augmented reality tend to be the smartphones, like the iPhone, that are more expensive. This shouldn't be a club only rich people can join.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
