A Dinner in 2020

Today has been a normal day. Like any other day I have been to work, and just a few hours ago I came back home for dinner, what a dinner! This, as you may first think, is not a positive thing, since nothing on our table was what once we may have considered to be "natural".
What we ate was mostly genetically modified food, at least the vegetables were for sure. Everything has changed since the European government allowed in 2010 the harvesting of the "super-potato" Amflora. Since then the OGMs have been on our table. They had some positive effects, for sure, for example they helped to feed populations of the most under-nourished African countries. However, the long-term effects of these foods began just now: thousands of people have cancer because of them.
OGMs were not the only thing we ate tonight. We also had lamb. However, we must be very careful to which pieces of meat we choose, because what the lamb eats is genetically modified as well. It's something like the "mad-cow" of the first years of this century, only that now it is on a global scale.
For fruit we had some apples only. This is practically the only fruit remaining. All the tropical fruits such as melon, watermelon, banana, pineapple, etc. no longer exist, because they did not survive to global warming.

The meal
It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal.
