A Small Tomato Makes a World of Difference...

Last year, my mom and I started our own vegetable garden. It wasn't much, but the first thing to come out of it was a small tomato. Perfectly round, the perfect ripe shade of red, it was a beauty, but it was small. This lead me to one thought only. 'This is only the first. We will continue to make more of these!'. Being an avid gardener, it was only a matter of time until we started churning out more tomatoes and some lettuce too. With this, we made some fabulous BLT's for the rest of my family.
Being a gardener brings a different kind of satisfaction. Not the money grubbing kind, but the smaller kind. The fact that you are making a difference, no matter how small. Whether it's the smile of a jogger who stops to stare at your Hydrangeas or a neighbor who comments on how nicely your garden is coming along, it is a joy to see it make someone's day.

Are you growing a garden this year? If you are then you could show a few pictures.

Good Idea, I think I will post them as a photo album or something. Things are just starting to bloom, so I also might include some of our other plants

Thanks for sharing your success with us, I'm hoping to get involved in a community garden on the roof of my office. Oh, I like you're profile pic also, I'm a Horn too...HOOK 'EM!

Lol, I miss going to those horn's games, and that's very cool with a community garden. I will have to try and find something like that but the closest I know is volunteering in the Missouri Botanical Gardens which I can't do right now...
