The Shadow of a Black Swan sweeps over the landscape.

Vignettes of oil leak site, Haiti rebuild, tornado alley rebuild, China coal mine collapses rebuild, China and Uzbekistan/Tajikistan dam downstream devastation, deserts taking over land that had once been fertile and green.

Alchemy is pacing in a darkened room, looking over satellite-link pictures flickering on large screens. Silent, alone in his unknown location, he scrubs his two-day-old beard.

Citizen X’s note is in Alchemy’s hand. The note reads: “Black Swan is calling all agents to come together. We are at tipping point for chaos to reign. Black Swan wants assistance from the new pilot program that enables communities to take EVOKE resources, and direct assistance from EVOKE Agents.”

Alchemy turns to Agents Gabriel Martin and Ternura Rojas, and says, “The secret is out. Between Evoke, and Evoke 1.5, people around the world know we are here, and we can help. Communities need to become resilient; they need help. There is a water crisis in Tel Aviv, and they are requesting our help. Can you work with Omri on that? Develop some training vid, and make sure ”

Turning to Agent Patricio Buenrostro-Gilhuy, Alchemy said, “The drought in Mexico is getting worse, too. Can you team up with Nick Heyming on OUR Garden and Gratitude Gardens, and talk out some bio-diverse planting and water-conservation with the communities down there who contacted us?”

Alchemy says to Agent Michele Baron, “we just aren’t able to keep up. We need to build more teams of resilient agents.” Agent Baron said, “Since EVOKE is known now, maybe we can take the message to children, and prepare them to join in helping to solve the challenges we all face.

“Maybe we need two kinds of agents. Trainers, and Field Agents.

“And two kinds of Evoke. For school children, and for active Agents of Change.”

Alchemy, “If school children are involved, their teachers, their parents will learn. We can communicate better, lose less time in response. Get on it, Agent Baron, and get schools coordinated for this valuable training.

“You can get Agent Reid Falconer, A.V. Koshy, maybe Cameron Michael Phillips, and Cottico, and work on a few continents at once.

“After all, we need the best minds to innovate… We can’t start too soon to train the children to be resilient; the future is in their hands!”

MEANWHILE: Martial law has been enacted to stop villagers close to an African Desert Wind/Solar Electricity Field from overtaking power grid (it feeds Europe).

Alchemy, pacing, muses:
“The problem is that they still prey to food insecurity, lack of water, and a huge lack of reliable energy. Intervention is needed.

“Agent Wintermute and Agent Sunny DuPree, go to the EU to help mediate this problem. Join with our other agents in the EU to gain help with this. The power grid in Europe can’t handle the demand for power, and the system will crash, with or without the energy feed from Africa.

“And get a team together to go to Africa and work with the communities surrounding the power fields, and see how we can best help them with their infrastructure needs. Maybe Agents Murray Blore, Crouching Tiger, BONGOLE EFOYA RAYMOND, Ivana, omoding ismael, and Lawrence Ssenkubuge can join up with Shakwei and Jean de Dieu to really concentrate on hearing what these communities need to thrive.”

At the SAME MOMENT: Somali Pirates overtake and board a passing ship which has 4 Evoke agents on board.

“Get your bow and arrow as quietly as you can, Sarah,” says Panamericana.

“I think we are being hijacked” Agent Turil says “They are merely unactualized, and I am sure we can help them face their developmental challenges and change themselves in a positive way.”

“Maybe I can mediate,” says Agent Mita. “There is no need for violence or threatening speech. We chose to sail near Somali waters, and we must deal with this as calmly as possible.”

Sarah ran back to the group of Agents. “Where is your weapon?” asked Pan. “Don’t need it,” said Sarah. “I have programmed these hand-held computers with all contact data for EVOKE, our Darksite resiliency connections, and lots of information on getting better access, production and security of food, water, education, and hope for the future.

“In fact, if we can meet them halfway, and talk about the present, and their future, maybe they can return as a new kind of Somali hero!

(note for a later frame: closeup on AP article depicting Agents Pan, Turil, Mita and Sarah in a Parkour training exercise with a group of young, Somalian former-pirates turned vanguard for future resiliency operations in communities throughout Somalia. The headline states that training and problem-solving combine to bring young, elders, and community leaders together with Agents of Evoke to discuss how best to implement programs and practices to assist with at-risk communities in Somalia. Plans to reach out to Yemeni youth are in the works.)

Alchemy, sitting for the moment, drinking from a steaming cup, stares again at the flickering video feeds. He is very pleased with the work the Agents are starting, but he does not relax. The oceans and the skies are in need of interventions too.

“We are all Earthlings. Humankind is one species out of 25 million. … We need more Agents.”

I'll say what I said when I read this on Wintermute's blog:

Wow! Really well done! I laughed at my caricature. :-) And you guys really worked hard to bring all the best elements of each Agent into the story. Nice.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
