SAVE FOOD AND SHARE FOOD

The problem of FOOD IN SECURITY is complex one. There are few problems at production and distribution side but looking at some different way can also help to combat the the problem of food shortage. It is the efficient use of Food available the people and share with the people who are deprived it. I know it is difficult one but even than practicable solution if we are really serious for the global development and helping to contribute in sustainability of the Globe.

Saving the food

If we see in our surrounding lots of food is being wasted intentionally or un intentionally, creating some linkages with the organizations and individuals who can distribute and ensure the feeding to poor people who really need it can contribute significantly. Following are some of the ways where food is wasted;

Most of houses who can afford food are habitual of having more than two dishes per meal and Left over/wastage is too high in some families , Food is cooked very large and wasted at the end because there is no one remained to eat in family.
In hotels after the closing time, Food is always left over and some times wasted even after distributing the food to lower staff and their family.
In parties, marriages, ceremonies Food extra vaganza is very high so the left over food is always sweeped away un eaten.
Share the food

If some organizations and individual volunteers can play vital role in developing linkages with the sources where food is left over, high and even families who can voluntarily give the one dish food to people who have not. So the managing this activity can be effectively locally implemented and few people can at least be ensured for the food availability to them.

Yes there are ways to work this. In the US we actually may have laws and certainly DO have company rules against this, depending on location. There are, sadly, dangers too. Food poisoning is a true concern with some foods and all foods over enough time. And of course, from a business perspective, giving away food can create dependency or greed from non-paying customers only seeking handouts. I would like to see all companies coordinating with food backs and shelters to add to their supplies here in the US. Other countries may already have some solutions in place. +1 local insight :)

Hi Nangar, there are some organizations in the US which mitigate post-event, post-entertainment food waste (see http://www.epa.gov/waste/conserve/materials/organics/food/success/r... , for example). Sometimes, health concerns prompt laws to protect needy people from possible food poisoning from improperly preserved foods, but donations of unopened food are still fairly prevalent. And there are many food banks which collect food for distribution. Many of these also have training, educational, and other programs, some types of work-share, etc.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
