So, I was tasked to follow a hero of mine. Or rather a social innovator. Instead of choosing one of the many persons assisting in Africa, I picked someone who aimed a little higher. I decided to follow Aubrey de Grey, and his attempt to stop aging. Aging kills 100,000 people a day. It seems to me, that all things equal it is better if 100,000 people do not die.
Now there is the issue of birth, or rather how can we stop death, and maintain birth. This is a huge problem that we will likely solve. Either the creation of a new frontier(in space), or a reduction in birth, will be necessary.
It also seems to me that by eliminating aging, we will eliminate much selfishness. No longer will the egoistic think "it matters not what I use now, for I will die long before I could suffer as a result". They will no longer be able to take solace in their crass egoism.

PS: I also decided to be bold. I posted the following Dr. de Grey's facebook wall:
"Thank you for combating aging. As a member of Evoke, I was tasked to find someone committed to social change. I believe your work is one of the most important scientific projects man can engage in."
He gracefully responded:
"Thanks for your support! What can I do to help you to help this mission? Please email at aubrey@sens.org"
I am nervous to follow up. Does anyone out there have any suggestions of what to say? Should I just inform him about Evoke, and its purpose?
