Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

ACT1 My Hero: Bunker Roy founder of the Barefoot College.

Entrepreneurs are essential drivers of innovation and progress. In the business world, they act as engines of growth, harnessing opportunity and innovation to fuel economic advancement. Social entrepreneurs act similarly, tapping inspiration and creativity.

When I found out that I had the find a social innovator, I didn't know where to start, so i immediately turned to the internet to find my hero. After hours of researching I came across my hero SANJIT 'BUNKER' ROY (Bunker Roy). An extraordinary man who has changed the world has we know it.

Bunker Roy is the founder and creator of the Barefoot College in rural communities in India to train illiterate and semiliterate men and women, whose lack of educational qualifications keeps them mired in poverty. Today Barefoot College graduates include teachers, health workers and architects who are improving communities across India, including hundreds of "barefoot" engineers who have installed and maintain solar-electrification systems in over 500 villages, reaching over 100,000 people.

I chose Bunker Roy because I think what he is doing is amazing. He is not only offering jobs to people with no education and are living in rural areas, he is also got the environment in mind by using solar energy.

I will be shadowing Bunker Roy by emailing him and calling him, telling him to start a twitter account so more people can make him their hero.

I chose Bunker Roy as well. I heard one of his talks a few years ago, and when this task came up he immediately came to mind.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
