Human trafficking: girls for prostitution

PAGE ONE

Panel A:

Place – Paris. Sunset.

Setting – small badly lit room. On a bed in the middle of the room is a girl with tape over mouth. Her face is red from crying and make-up is streaked down her face. She appears to be drugged. Her arms and legs are tied to the metal bars of the bed. In her arm is a drug drip.

Textbox – Paris, 9 May 2020.

Panel B:

Setting – Same girl depicted in panel A, now standing at a lamppost smiling seductively. She is dressed in a provocative outfit. Alongside her is a car parked next to the pavement. A guy is leaning out of the car, waving money in his hand. In the background, further down the pavement is a man dressed in a black suit with dark gla****, standing with his arms crossed.

Girl: “Hey sexy. Want some fun?”

Guy in black: thought bubble: “that’s my girl”.

Panel C:

Setting – the same badly lit room in panel A. The girl is curled up on the little bed, lying in foetal position. She appears to be sleeping.

Girl: thought bubble: “When will someone find me?”

PAGE 2

Panel A:

Place – Johannesburg

Setting – in an office. A woman is slamming a newspaper down on the president’s desk. The headline reads ’10 more girls disappear from Johannesburg airline’.

Woman: “This is getting out of hand. Everyday the newspaper reports on girls that have gone missing”.

Panel B:

Setting – President standing at the window looking out over the city. His face is creased with worry.

President: “We have jacked up the security system. We have sent out warnings all over the country. We have done everything we can. How are they still one step ahead of us?”

Panel C:

Setting – President sitting at his desk, facing a huge screen. It is clear that he is initiating a conference call. The woman is sitting on the other side of the desk with a look of interest on her face.

Woman: “Who are you calling Mr President?”

President: “Someone I should have called long ago!”

PAGE 3

Panel A:

Setting – Alchemy has appeared on the video screen. In the bottom right corner of the screen is a logo which reads ‘Evoke Network 2020’. Both the president’s and woman’s faces are illuminated by a green haze emanating off the screen.

Alchemy: “Mr President, I have been waiting.”

President: “you have?”

Panel B:

Setting – Alchemy sitting at his desk, but he is facing the screen behind his desk. In front of his desk, and behind Alchemy, are four figures. These figures are also looking at the screen. You cannot tell what they look like. They appear as silhouettes.

Alchemy: “Yes, the agents are ready. It is your call.”

President: “Well what are you waiting for?”

Panel C:

Setting: Alchemy’s office. He is sitting at his desk. The four figures are facing him. We still do not know who they are.

Alchemy: “Here are your plane tickets. It is time.”

Person 1: “Paris baby!”

PAGE 4

Panel A:

Setting – Person 3 standing at a window, looking out at an old building, through binoculars. In the lense of the binoculars you can see a figure of a man in a black suit, with dark gla****.

Person 3: talking into a walky talky: “I can see him. Everything ready on your side?”

Person 4: text bubble coming from walky talky: “The agents are assembled. We are ready to evoke!”

Panel B:

Setting – The man in the dark suit and dark gla**** is being arrested by the police. There are other men who are also in handcuffs. A journalist is standing in the corner with a camera, clearly taking a photograph of the scene.

Panel C:

Divided into four smaller panels. In each sub-panel are rescue scenes. Each scene is of a room with four beds, except for the last scene which only has one bed. People wearing Evoke t-shirts are helping the girls up, some are hugging the girls. All the girls are crying. In the last scene, where there is only one bed, person 4 is holding the hand of the girl who appeared on the first page. The girl is crying but smiling.

Person 4: “I was never here”.

PAGE 5

Panel A:

Setting – News scene on tv. In the bottom left corner is a logo, ‘CNN’. News reader is sitting in the middle of the screen. In the top right is an insert. The insert depicts a picture of a man in a black suit being arrested.

News Reader: “The world’s largest trafficking syndicate was exposed today, thanks to our Evoke heros”.

Panel B:

Setting – Alchemy’s office. Alchemy watching the newsreport. Behind him are the four unidentifiable people.

Person 4: “It was close, but we managed to keep our identities a secret.”

Alchemy: “Good. The time will come when the world will know who you are.”

Person 1: “I can’t wait to see their faces when they find out”.

Panel C:

Setting – the Johannesburg airport. The girl from the first scene is hugging her mom. Her family are standing around her, smiling.

Mom: “Oh my baby. Who found you? We must thank them!”

Girl: “Oh mom, that’s not important. All that counts is that the evoke network saved us all!”

Textbox appears bottom right of screen: be prepared to be surprised in episode two!

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
