This exercise got me thinking, what do I use every day that the energy could be harnessed and used to recharge a cel phone, and batteries for a LCD flashlight or radio, given both are used in Africa. Well, for one, I am lucky enough I just need to turn on a tap for water.
My invention would easily attach to a water tap and the running water diverted through the device would be enough to spin the water-wheel part inside and generate enough voltage to recharge while the water runs freely out the other end.
Another one for recharging is a device that would attach to a water pump to not only collect energy from the running water, but from the action of the pumping. Villagers could pump their water and recharge their cel phones at the same time.
For far out thinking, my invention is a belt to capture the energy from the wearer as they move around which is stored and used to recharge their cel phone or computer etc.
