Backyard permaculture food growing

So just a quick one here, but quite a timely quest.

A friend is concerned he might be made redundant (the organisation he works for is going through yet another re-organisation of roles, applying for your job, compulsory redundancies you know the kind of thing), his wife had had to resort to applying for part-time positions at fast food chains because there really aren't enough jobs going round for everyone at the moment.

So he's looking to start growing some food, he figures it will help him reduce costs in the medium term, plus eat more healthily. So we've been chatting about permaculture and making the most use of the space he has. he likes the idea as he's a designer and permaculture is a design system - so we are on to a winner already!

I'll post more if I get involved with his design, but I suspect that now he has a few books, he'll prefer to just get cracking. Pleased that a spark of an idea and some encouragement can lead to so much.

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.

Where I will be in ten years.

Ten years from now I will be in a political job assisting with people in the midlands of South Carolina particularly the rural working class and farmers. As the class of people that feed the nation I find that it is imperative that we assist with making sure they produce as much food as possible. I would like to support local scientists as well that are leading in research on how to produce food more efficiently. I will also be participating in missions to foreign countries to help people with…See More
