Blown away?
As much as I am completely FOR alternative & sustainable energy sources, when I discovered that a wind farm is proposed to be built just outside of my beautiful town, I did have my reservations.
The site proposed for this wind farm is Waainek, which is adjacent to a monastery and a school.
Some of the arguments against the proposal include aesthetic and environmental impact issues.
After looking into the issue a bit more extensively I feel that a wind farm will be an asset to Grahamstown and South Africa as it will ultimately make electricity more affordable and sustainable. I had to adjust my mindset to "think globally and act locally" rather than thinking an idea is great, but with the "not in my own backyard" attitude.
What are your opinions on wind farms?

The meal
It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal.
