Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Building schools that will continue to have an impact many years from now.

My interest is in education, it's the key to providing developing countries with the skills and necessities to be self reliant and successful. However, universal education is not a cheap consideration. Nik Kafka, and the project Teach A Man To Fish has developed a method to ensure education is widespread but also virtually cost free. The idea is to encourage schools and students to start small business within the school, such as small herds of goats, chickens, produce etc. so that the income generated sustains the operation of the school. Not only does it provide the students with a proper education but also empowers them and gives them confidence to be successful operating a business.

This could be the answer, it will start small and gain momentum as participating countries will improve from the stimulated economy and the active citizens. The more schools built and students graduated, the more areas of the nation will be affected.

The next step is full development, it really is a snowball effect.

Agent Kelly, thanks for sharing this knowledge. I am interested in Tech the Man how to Fish Project.
And Education is meant not to be business oriented but a service to our communities. To empower the people and develop new skills.
Look forward to reading more posts from you. :)

Thanks!
I do agree that education is not meant to be business oriented, it looks like that is what I'm trying to say. I was focusing on it because it's revolutionary in it's sustainability, the virtually cost free operation wouldn't be possible without the business aspect. However, what really got me interested in education, especially internationally, is being able to inspire, empower and make a difference. Are you involved in education?

Actually I totally agree with you. Just to make myself clearer; educators/ schools are not supposed to rip money of students because they want the education. Education is supposed to be more like a VOLUNTARY SERVICE.
In the case of your story its very interesting to hear that school there are trying to diversify, - Help students earn some money which enables sustain their education and also earn practical skills in the business world.
I am not directly involved in education. But I am a trainer. I work with an NGO which raises ICT Awareness amongst the Youth in Uganda.
How about you?

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
