This is a response to agent
Ed Dragar's
challenge. I'd like to add to what
he and
others have already said.
Something that is key, I think, is engaging with one another -- reading (or viewing) each other's evidence, and more importantly, commenting thoughtfully. EVOKE agent comments are easy to spot: they are reflective, they deal with the issues the author/poster raises, they may offer supporting opinions or alternative points of view, but they are respectful and well-considered. They may include links to the commenter's posts, but only when relevant, and they often contain links to pertinent resources elsewhere in EVOKE or out on the web.
On the other hand, I would imagine that a Citizen X comment doesn't engage with the topic. It would point back to the commenter's own evidence, diverting attention from the poster onto the commenter. It may include personal attacks or irrelevant information.
Build trust by really thinking and reflecting on the ideas of others. One of the great things about EVOKE is that there are 10,000 perspectives represented here. Not all of them will align with yours, but they all may have something to teach.
Establish yourself as an EVOKE agent by being one.
