Calling Austin/Dallas TX EVOKE Agents!

URGENT EVOKE for Agents in the Austin, TX and Dallas Ft.Worth, TX areas. It is slightly off-topic for EVOKE, but I think this is very important and EVOKE Agents are likely to care.

Did you know: as you're reading this there are people living in slavery in your own city. Foreign workers are being lured to Austin/Dallas and then not getting paid, instead finding themselves imprisoned and forced to work. Foreign Nannies are being forced into sexual servitude. I am absolutely appalled and disgusted to discover that this is going on around me, something I previously attributed to places like Dubai. This is so important, not only to the unfortunate souls who find themselves enslaved, but in a more global sense. The US has the power to be an unstoppable force of good in this world, but the world has to trust us first. We have a long way to go to gain that trust, if we can at all. Personally I don't trust people associated with slavery, and I can't be alone in that feeling. How can we present ourselves as a land of freedom and opportunity to the global community when people pursuing that promise are imprisoned and abused?

This has to stop.

Way to go right to the "ugly" of the matter.
I agree something must be done but first we need a plan. You got any ideas? Cause I know jack all about modern slavery in the US.

Whats your sources for this? Sometimes looking deeper into those can help us to get a grasp on what can be done.

Excellent questions Hayden. I don't know a wh*** lot about it myself, so I figured the best place to start would be to see what is already being done. I found this doc**ent from the AG put before the 81st legislature: http://www.oag.state.tx.us/AG_Publications/pdfs/human_trafficking.pdf

Also found this doc**ent from the UN, outlining a 'toolkit' for combating human trafficking.

I have some reading to do.

I'm giving you points on your other unrelated blog posts for the mushroom contributions on the arctic posts... to bad comments can't be rewarded directly

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
