A crash course in changing the world.
The tourism as an exceptionally dynamic branch is naturally more receptive from other areas for the introduction of flexible politics of the regional development. The economic form that allows the regional development through the achievement of innovation, higher productivity, the competition and the exporting market orientation, presents clusters. Clusters are geographic concentrations of interconnected companies, specialized suppliers, service providers, firms in related industries and institutions in specific fields that compete but also cooperate. The cluster is a dynamic combination and concentration of tourist attractions, infrastructure, equipment, services, activities, people, etc.. in closed geographic areas in which they develop certain tourist experience.
Network connectivity is horizontal, while the cluster connectivity in all directions (see picture). Clusters are based on social values that include trust and reciprocity, also creates demand for firms with similar and related capabilities. The goal is to create differentiation in the experience for tourists. Clusters should be different and does not compete among themselves. Very important is cooperation between the clusters so-called ''cross selling''.
Tourism clusters are one of the modern market model of development in a sustainable manner. This model can be successfully implemented in the poorer areas, as it includes outstanding level of collaboration of all business entities in a given geographic area. There are plenty of such examples, some of them at the following links:
