Creative thinking and the power of simple solutions.
Think creatively: start big, use constraints as a filter and find the simplest solutions.
I believe this secret is very important for development of long term solutions, but it's not just one simple solution that solves the
problem, it's a mesh of dynamic simple solutions all interconnected.
Many of the technologies that are constantly being developed are incredibly alien and overcomplicated to work with, although some seem much more practical then others sometimes. The simplest solutions are very rarely the correct course of action for complex, evolutionary and dynamic problems like we are examining through this medium or are experiencing in our daily lives.
BUT the beauty of simple solutions is that it's not hard to start linking them together to provide bigger and more flexible ideas to build off of, use simple solutions as a foundation, but don't think that a foundation will do, keep building. Create chains of platforms, all independant but co-operating and colaborative in their sum product.
The independence of each simple solution is just as important as the collaborative spirit of them, as if ones fails, it's important for sustainability to be able to continue without out until another idea can come to fruitation to fill and improve the methods that are currently in place.

Fourth of July on the Lake
This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The meal
It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal.
