Now that you are reading this article I am 100 years old! Maybe I am still alive or somewhere in the "next life". Anyway, I am not writing to talk to you about eternal life.
My children, grand children and grand grand children, I dont know how much longer I will live thats why I am writing this, such the even when I am gone you can always refer to it.
1. Take time to learn your culture and appreciate it. We have some cultural practices that we have found to violate human rights - such include female genital mutilation among others.
Culture is our foundation and without it we are like trees with out roots. Our culture not only talks about the people but also tells you about our cultural taboos. Protect our environment [y]our environment. Thats one of our major responsibilities which was God given.
Learning more about your culture will help you understand your country [and the world at larger] plus everything in it.
2. Love and respect your family. Family is the place where and the people who have brought you up and taken care of you since you were born. Family plays a very important role in a child's up bringing.
Without family the world would be so empty for each and everyone of us.
In school we go to learn a lot, but if it wasnt for the initial mentoring we get from family as we group up, probably school would not be there today. Through your family you will learn about Human Dignity and the rights of a human being as you are now an ambassador and democracy advocate of your generation.
So, I want you to understand the idea of civilization correctly and carefully. Civilization is achieved by organised cultures/ individuals who are very enthusiastic about preserving their values and norms, with a sense of humor.
Always keep this information and share it on to your generation so it can be kept for as long as the human race lives.
