I grew up with computer technology. It matured with me, it got better as I've aged. But when I'm 100, I'll be explaining to my grandkids the fundamentals "Digital Information is just strings of 1 and 0's" The malleability of that should express how much we can trust it. There is much noise around the message you seek. For example, Photoshop and retouching photos has changed how we look at images! So Ultimately, I'll be telling my kids to go back to the source. back to the books, hard copies of the data. It's all there, and you'll be surprised at what you'll find.
