For this week's act, I took a very simple step to help me and those in my neighbors prepare in the event of an emergency situation. I prepared an emergency supply kit. The California Department of Health has some handy guidelines on creating one for yourself, which can be found at
http://bepreparedcalifornia.ca.gov/EPO/BePrepared/IndividualsAndFam...In the event of an earthquake or other disaster, one of these kits could make the difference between life and death for you or one of your neighbors. Food, water, first aid supplies, a flashlight, batteries, and other daily essentials which are easy to come by now might not be in the event of a disaster. Everyone living in an urban area should make sure they have access to a supply kit. If you don't, make your own! It's cheap and fairly easy to do.
