Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Who has the time to analyse all the raw data? Which social cause is the most important right now? How can I have the biggest effect? When it comes time for me to actually save Tokyo who am I to believe?

The food council of Rome back in 1974 predicted imminent global mass shortage of food which subsequently technological advances in agriculture produced productivity gains that none could predict. We still had starvation but it wasn't from lack of food.

This year's Physics Nobel Prize winner, Willard Boyle, has the same dilemma. He finds the internet Plaghh!

The evidence introduced by 7000+ agents and growing is getting vast. Is it getting anymore manageable?

We all want to "save the world", or a little piece of it. Some of us want to win the game. There are a probably a few that even want to destroy the game and say I told you so at the end of it.

Perhaps we should all be making an effort to friend the agents producing evidence counter to our own?

It's great to feel safe by gathering around friends that believe in you and what you are doing but does it help you find the truth?

The Truth is out there but you only have a probability of less than one of finding it.

Great post! So much to discuss here... can i please buy 48 hour days for a week? no? awww...

* How can people destroy this game? What does it take to "destroy it"?
* "Perhaps we should all be making an effort to friend the agents producing evidence counter to our own?" YES! Great stuff. Evolution isnt done by backpatting alone.
* Critical analysis of issues is crucial. How do we create an atmosphere where we have a healthy mix of the "friction-reducing backpatting" and "friction-creating discussion". Yes, I know it oversimplifies. Discussion doesnt have to create friction at all. But sometimes people really Do react negatively if they are asked questions which - for instance - may seem to question their motivation for doing something.

As social innovators we need to move the finding and implementation closer and closer to 1:1!

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
