Dr Suellen Miller and the LifeWrap
Earlier today, when I was exploring the Evidence, I came across a YouTube video about the LifeWrap - a safe, re-usable way to save mothers' lives.

A couple of links later, I found her. My social innovation role model is Dr Suellen Miller.
Dr Miller is the Director of Safe Motherhood Programs at the Bixby Center for Global Reproductive Health, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at University of California, San Franciso (UCSF), and on the faculty of the Maternal and Child Health Program at UC Berkeley’s School of Public Health and the faculty of the Joint Medical Program, UCB/UCSF.
The Safe Motherhood Program comprises intervention projects and research on critical maternal health issues.
I've sent her an e-mail, letting her know that I think she is an inspiring and inspired human being, and that I will be e-stalking her over the next while, and I await her response.

FYI Yumna, I stumbled across the Lifewrap organization when I found an advertisement for an intern position they were recruiting for. I'm not sure if that's something you'd be interested in as a medical student, but I'm hoping to apply next year as part of my MPH. :)

Fourth of July on the Lake
This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal.
