- What is it called? Where is it?
- Who created it? How does it work?
- What community does it serve? What problem does it solve?
I thought of a new currency that would have a high impact in the education sector.
I've called it EduCurrency, let's imagine it is used in Romania's educational system.
It was created by our EduTree[alternative education model university] as an open source system, for other education models to use also.
How does it work?
As i thought of it, it can be used by public schools as well. Let me briefly describe this:
1. Schools receive EduCredits from Government.
2. Schools freely give some of the credits to teachers, based on their performance.
3. Teachers can reward remarkable performances of students with extra credits to use
[from their credit pool]
4. Students can buy credits from the school. Also, they can receive based on great performances, credits from their teachers and parents.
5. Parents can buy additional credits from the school [additional from the mandatory credits the student has to buy to ensure a proper education]. With these additional credits, parents can further reward their kids if they have great performances.
Of course, the idea has much to evolve. It is just a thinking starter :)
