During a pandemic, people are usually upset about the outrage. In such situations, you dont want to tell the communities to "watch out" as that will even cause more fear and panic.
We need activists who will listen to the people and tell them that "we will make it through together".
The local community health workers would do a great job in calming down the situation. Often, we have ignored the role of these community health workers. We have not given them the skills they need to give the people "psychological first aid". We have forgotten that they are the very first people to respond to such pandemics and that they are trusted in their communities.
The teachers would also do a great job in calming the people down. Teachers are often respected in their communities, not just by the students but the parents of as well. They would gather information to share with their students and the communities where they work. They would also help in gathering aggregated data and sharing with the health workers online about the numbers of victims in their schools or communities.
The cooks would get information about hygiene. This information would help them avoid the spread of the virus through sharing kitchen ware, and at the same time help them understand the importance of balanced diets in increasing a person's immunity.
For the wider internet communities, we would request that you contribute all the information you find that might be important to the activists in this crisis.
For the Journalists and Citizen journalists, we would request that you read about our online information material about "Crisis Networking" and "Communicating in Crisis" for the tips we have posted there. That would help reduce on the outrage that is likely to be caused by the news companies.
We would count on each and everyone's support in realizing this objective.
