There was a recent tsunami which has not caused too much damage the island but it has completely destroyed the power source which is causing havoc. There are fires burning in dustbins and on street sides. People look lost and confused and worried about the night without light dawning on them once again. There are two men fighting over a lantern. As it falls and breaks, the gas lights up the wall behind them and threre is a newapaper blown up against the wall and it reads, "predictions until power out is resolved is around 3 months".
PANEL B
The sunset horizon and the chaos of people breaking shop windows to get supplies is reflected in the big reading gla**** of the President. He looks worried as he chews his finger nail.
President
This has gone on far too long, our people are helpless, infrastructure is collapsing and our economy is crashing before our eyes. There has to be something we can do.
Deputy
Dont worry mr President, more supplies are coming, more torches, you need to comfort them Mr president, give them a promise speech.
President
