Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

I'm so stoked about Evoke, the originality of it and the vast potential it has. I am telling everyone i know about it as fast as i can! I don't know about anyone else but I'm having problems the minute i mention "game". I get the look, "oh look at the cute nerd, all geeked up about a video game, isn't that cute." Then i go on to mention tha, no it's not just a game, its about social innovations and creating change. Then i get the look of "oh thats a good thing but... <insert excuse why they cant be an activist>" Either way i lose them.

I wanted to create a mass facebook message telling everyone about Evoke, but I'm at a loss as to how to phrase it. The message needs to be done in a way that different people, from different regions, ages, and cla**** can see its benefit, innovation, and potential. WITHOUT getting the "oh its a game...." or the "Oh, its another one of those environmental/green movement things...." and they proceed with tuning out, even if they do read it. I can't help but think of six degrees of separation, and how many people we could reach if we as a community decided to send this to everyone on our facebook lists.

So i thought i would ask all you Evokers, i know many of you are talented artists, writers, I'm sure we even have some advertisers here.

Here's what i am hoping we can get together to do: Create a one page add for Evoke that can be sent via facebook to all 10,000 agents' facebook friends, or printed up and posted on community boards, college campuses, workplaces etc.

The Ad would need to-
1) Be concise, and quickly hook and explain the potentiality of Evoke
2) Convice the reader that it will be fun, worth their time, and most importantly that they would HAVE SOMETHING TO CONTRIBUTE.
3) Be worded in such a way that we don't lose 'non-gamers' or 'non-advocates'

What would this look like? What information should we include? Anyone a graphic artists?

Does something along these lines already exist? I couldn't find it.

Finally, I am aware that there may be some concerns with this kind of advertising. Do we really want to flood the game with people who aren't already social innovators, or advocates? Will that lead to watered down, unnavigable content? Evoke is big as it is, but i hate to think that there are people out there with great ideas who don't know about this innovative, and extremely important platform.

What do you guys think? Any volunteers to help me put this together? Calling all agents!

Hi Murray, I'm happy you appreciated.
I must confess that the idea was in my mind like that from the beginning, maybe I'll develop it further but, for sure, i'll make some new ones following your suggestions: diversity, even for promotion, is always the best way.
I'll let you know as soon as I produce something new

Wonderful Stefano, i cant wait to see what you come up with! I'll be working on wording etc. I'll update the post when i get a concrete example.

Stefano, Murray:

Cant wait to see what your combined efforts will be like. Hurry! Only 10 more wks till Evoke ends!

It would be very discouraging for those who join in the late wks of Evoke. The earlier we get them to join - the better! I'm promoting it on Twitter nonstop!

@Murray and Karen, finally I had some time to work on a new concept which integrates your suggestions. I hope this is more in the direction you had in your mind. Let me know if it is the right way, so that I could further develop it. Any feedback's always appreciated

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
