EVOKE code of conduct - taking care of ourselves

Here's my suggestion, taken from one of my own communities that I host:

To make things simple, and encourage all participants to take responsibility for themselves, we have five suggestions for participants:

1. Seek to add value (beauty, knowledge, understanding, creativity, personal experience, etc.) with all of your dialog here.

2. Do your best to avoid harming others' bodies, minds, and spirits.

3. Understand that all posts here can never be anything more than personal opinions, even if they look like facts. Even universal truths may look different from different perspectives! So, don't believe anything just because you read it here. Take responsibility for yourself, and don't do anything that might cause harm just because someone else suggested it, or even swears by it, ok?

4. Everyone has a right to share their opinions and beliefs here, and has a right to think or act in whatever way they believe is right at the time. We know that everyone is doing the best they can, otherwise they wouldn't be investing their resources in this community. No one will be banned or censored by the moderator for simply sharing their thoughts and feelings. If you don't like what someone else says here, you have the option to: not read their posts, disagree with them until you make yourself (and maybe the rest of the community) miserable, thank them for sharing their
viewpoint and move on, quit the community in a huff, or whatever other solution you believe will be healthiest for you. Mediation for disputes is also available, upon request. Email [place mediators contact info here], or create a new post in the community with your mediation request and the gist of the dispute as you see it, and we'll see what we can collectively do to keep everyone happy and healthy!

5. Commercial advertising that doesn't add any value to the community may be deleted, and posts that include any illegal material that promotes causing egregious harm to Earthlings may also be removed.

Basically, have fun, learn a lot, share the good stuff, and avoid the bad stuff. What you make of this community is really up to you. I hope you enjoy it here!

At the beginning of any relationship the human brain intentionally deludes itself. The brain needs to shut off the social inhibitions in order to create the tight bond to trust another individual enough to mate (physically, emotionally, intellectually, and/or spiritually). But that "high" doesn't last, and once we return to a more wholistic view of our partner, we can more properly decide if it's worth investing ourselves in the relationship based on what the mating process has created.

Of course, many relationships are just failed experiments. And that's to be expected. Mating is rarely procreative, so most relationships aren't very fruitful, and are left to wither and die. Now, while it is common in pop culture to blame the partner later on for "not being the person I fell in love with" it's really just a cop out to protect the fragile ego, and not at all based on reality. :-)

I wh***-heartedly agree...in my case, I've made a series of statements about what would have to change for me to be able to be in this relationship with integrity. If it changes or at least moves towards change, then I will be likely to stick it out. If not, then I can't stick around. I'm not in it for the sex, but I require transparency and honesty in relationship if I'm going to invest in it.

Come on - doesn't this kind of conversation belong in the discussion forums (that I've only just found out about! LOL) Many people, like me, are searching for blogs related to aspects of a mission, to research evokations etc - HOWEVER - the blog EVIDENCE pile is FULL of bLogs like this.

*********there is a discussion forum for discussions that are not mission related*************

I'm getting sick of it - I'm on a mission to divert all these and subsequent discussions over to the DISCUSSION forum where they SHOULD BE POSTED....why? So I can play the flipping game....GGGGRRRRRRRR Why am I having to wade through countless fcuking blurb that people can't help spurting out? No - I'm not posting a bloody blog about THIS either - and i seriously hope i don't see one.

Lynn, this is absolutely related to all aspects of all missions. Relationships are at the core of everything we do in life, and understanding how relationships work is crucial to every single mission here. I'm sorry you don't appreciate this kind of discussion, and I'm sorry you don't value our contributions to the missions, and I wish you well in creating the kind of content you believe is valuable to you.

Lynn, you'd have to personally come up and assault me to truly offend me. Your views are yours, and to the degree that you'd like to see them come about, you are human. As long as you don't about creating systems to enforce your will, I have no issues with anything you can say.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
