Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

LoL, Epic Fail

This idea was given to me by Nicholas Nagao

"Samiran, this is turning out great. Can I recommend that you do a bit of review on each, and perhaps even categorize and/or rank them based on time of completion, type of project, etc."

OK, So here's how it works.

1. Choose a project you will be undertaking from this thread.

2. Do a Review of the project. Quoting From Wikipedia:

A review is an evaluation of a publication, such as a movie (a movie review), video game, musical composition (music review of a composition or recording), book (book review); a piece of hardware like a car, home appliance, or computer; or an event or performance, such as a live music concert,a play, musical theater show or dance show. In addition to a critical evaluation, the review's author may assign the work a rating to indicate its relative merit. More loosely, an author may review current events, trends, or items in the news. A compilation of reviews may itself be called a review.

OR

Write a short story on why you decided in undertaking the project, how do you plan to help others/environment using it, how is it impacting your life, etc.
If you have done so, in a previous blog post or message, please Reproduce/Link it.

(Keep in mind, the better your review/story, the more chances Agents will be attracted to your project)

3. If you post the review/story in the comments section here, I will make a separate page for all the reviews of that project and paste yours to it. I will link this page to an option 'Read Reviews' in your project. I will keep updating all the pages 4-5 times a day :)

Example:

Evoke Chat Test
Ideas on bringing chat to Evoke.
Requirements: 1 Knowledge Share
[Completed]
Read Reviews(This will link to the reviews/stories page of the project)

Reasons why I am doing this:
1.Agents(especially newer ones) will take a more active interest in doing projects(hopefully)
2.Agents can learn more about the project before joining. This will filter out the people who don't work, and (hopefully) inspire others to do so.
3.Best stories on a project will be available in a single place.
4.Agents will (again..hopefully) stop procrastinating and work harder on their projects.

Any Suggestions will be appreciated. Please start posting your stories/reviews.

I like it. OK will give it a go. Many of us have been doing this informally through mentoring new agents so it is a case of formalising the process and adding structure.

Would be interested in others thoughts.

An awesome way to spread awareness of peoples' evokations, as well as a great way to challenge the network. +10 spark.

I am glad this is working! Congrats!!! Koshy would say DO NOT FORGET ABOUT QUESTS, so I repeat this, quests are potentially good projects.

Thank you Ben, Shakwei,Patrico,Nathaniel and Ternura for your support.
@Ternura, I did not understand how quests are potentially good projects?

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
