A crash course in changing the world.
"Flu Epidemic killing Kenyans" the headlines in all the daily newspapers scream. Although the reports carry some truth, no helpful solution is offered to the hundreds of thousands of readers on where they can access additional help and information. It is time for an Urgent Evoke!
A****sing the situation to see that although a lot of people have a lot of questions (frequently the same questions), there is no clear place where they can find the answers to these questions. We decide to set up a system that will allow Kenyans to send in SMSs, emails and make telephone calls where they can receive answers to frequently asked (non-clinical) questions about the flu epidemic in a language they understand. This information is then databased and made accessible to the public via the global internet.
Working with a health-related organisations, I have a network of contacts who provide information that can be used for this purpose. And, we are then able to refer cases that require clinical assistance to the appropriate service providers.
I wonder if the newspapers will scream about this service??
