Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

I have been volunteering at the University of Maryland Coop. My volunteer work has given me a new perspective on the food I consume daily. Working there has forced me to value each meal I eat every day. Hours work there go towards meal points that can be used there as well. Working at a coop preparing food has made me so much more conscious of what I am eating as well.

I think that the idea of cooperating with other people to help feed others is great.
If other places were to offer food in exchange for labor I am sure that a lot more people would be willing to work, as that would be one less thing for them to worry about. When money is given there are so many options for where that money can be spent, and options and choice are not always the greatest. They tend to complicate things and individuals become miserable when they make normative analysis'.
