A crash course in changing the world.
The amazing thing about food is that once I realized how simple it was to begin growing it, the work the food did for itself to grow was amazing.
So here I am, the year is 2012. The garden has been growing for 2 years now. The neighbors have united in producing a once dirt lot into a bountiful garden that supplements the food for the rest of the neighborhood that may not have access to water. We have all pitched in to grow it and are now benefiting from the harvest. My next door neighbor is showing me how to make fresh salsa. Everyone is united to share in the feast that we all grew together with hard work and determination. It only took one seed, a seed of will-power and vision to make this all come together and not one person did it alone, it took many hands and many visions to create a complete picture. Our visits to the grocery store are seldom, our communication with one another has grown as abundantly as the food on our tables. This is the future of my neighborhood and I am proud to be a small part of it.
