A crash course in changing the world.
Just out of curiosity, does anyone know how much land/resources would be needed for a person to consume the recommended daily amount of nutrients suggested by the USDA's Food Pyramid. (http://www.mypyramid.gov) For example, if a person should consume 200lbs of wheat, 75lbs of fruit, and 120lbs of meat products each year, then how many acres of land would be needed to grow the wheat and fruit bearing trees, how many chickens/cows/fish would have to be ready for capture and preparation? Even if it's only 1-2 acres, multiply that by the 7,000,000,000 on Earth and you'll see that's a lot of land. Eventually, people WILL outgrow the planet and there simply won't be enough land on which to grow food. What can we do then?
