A crash course in changing the world.
I am from the Sacramento California Region, which is one of the most fertile regions of the world and produces 1/5 of the worlds produce. Thus food shortages here would not be a cause of inability to grow, but inability for the everyday citizen to get the food grown here as so many other cities, states, and countries rely on the produce grown here. But in reaction to the prospect of food shortages, the state in conjunction with CSUS has begun opening community gardens that focus on producing vegitables and flowers for the community. this gets the community involved, and many of these programs have been expanded to involve students of elementary and middle school students.
