In the backyard of my house, I helped my mom plant a little garden with figs, tomatoes, peas, beans, and many more herbs and vegetables. To help someone in my community with food security, I would give them the supplies needed to plant their own garden and help them plant it. Organic fruits and vegetables are more healthy for you and having your own garden reproduces each year and only needs natural sunlight and water/rain. It takes low maintainence and provides you with food. When you grow your own food, you don't have to buy those things in the supermarket. Many people buy vegetables but ones that have been processed. For processed goods, you spend more money on it and it's not that good for you. For example, lots of people like ketchup. All that really is, is tomato. It's a lot cheaper to grow fresh tomatoes than ketchup. It's also a lot more satisfying knowing that you grew your own food, you don't know where other things have been.
