Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Power is knowledge and today, the internet is the biggest source of information on the planet. Some people call it the biggest library in the world. But since the internet has so much information, it's hard to find

exactly what you need, more exactly the easiest solutions to your problem. I think that Jimmy Donal Wales
is a remarkable man because he managed to transform this gigantic pile of pages ("web pages") into a proper library. As I mentioned in my previews blog post he gave the world the tools to create the books of the internet and the people used them well.

Wikipedia is of course amazing, and Jimmy Wales is quite inspiring. What do you think he would say about EVOKE? How would he apply the learnings of Wikipedia to our missions?

Haha, do you think you could ask him to join us in the network?

Hm, we should make an EVOKE wikipedia page! What do you think?

the page is there: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Evoke_(alternate_reality_game) , all we need to do is add the content

Free knowledge! I get behind that. We just haven't figured out how to solve the filtering problem, which makes the internet a stunning resource in some areas and a hideous mess in others. If I want help coding Python, I can find the answer in under two minutes. If I want expert commentary on Adam Smith's Wealth of Nations, it will be faster to get in my car and drive to the library.

I look forward to reading more!

I agree with you Monica. That is a major problem when you are dealing with large sets of data. Maybe we will find a solution in that area soon. Google made remarkable progress in that area over the past years, but still there is a lot of room for improvements.

Great post, Adrian. I personally hold the free worldwide exchange of information as one of the greatest ideals we can hope to achieve. The innovation we've seen in the Internet's 20+-year history has been simply staggering, and I know that it's that spirit of innovation that's going to drive our collective problem-solving skills more than anything else. Bringing the Internet's wealth of information to every single person on this planet is easily one of the best things we could ever do.

That is a very good choice for a hero. I look forward to reading more of your blogs. I will award you +1 Courage :)

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
