A crash course in changing the world.
I would like to make some suggestions to the next Evoke Episode. Fistly, the application has to become more user-friendly. This means that some improvements on the website could be made regarding the layout, the buttons and user profiles. Further applications could be inserted, like implementing a live-chat amongst the members, or live-chats with alchemy or other Evoke members. There were some internet links not working, and all websites linked should be proofed regarding their actuality.
Some topics were really interesting but some were - in my opinion - not suitable for an own mission on urgent evoke. Especially the topics Crisis Networking or the future of money could be replaced through more urgent social problems like deseases, child labour or political refugees. Furthermore, also topics regarding politically difficult situations in countries could be implemented.
The principle of Urgent Evoke in my opinion is very good, but profile runes should be given more according to participation in the community than on writing own blog posts. A minimum number of comments on other blogs should be obligatory. Otherwise everyone does its own blog posts and reads less posts of other people.
The topics could also be organized in discussion groups rather than in forums. More elements of web 2.0 should be implemented in the website.
I would make Evoke more popular next time at universities. Only per occasion I saw the possibility to participate on Urgent Evoke. I also would recommend to implement it as an elective subject in the schedule.
I found the comics interesting but sometimes much information was given through the comics, and therefore they became quite long. But the comics are made very good! I like them!
However, I would try to make the Evoke Website more interactive and also implement a better organizational structure, p.ex. sort blog posts, photos and videos according to topics, Therefore the site would get a better structure and be more clearly arranged.
These are my suggestions!
