Futuristic Barter
I believe that the future of money will turn to real things. People will lose hope in the numbers-based currencies of today as their retirements disappear, etc. More and more people will begin to see wealth as tangible things rather than 'money'.
Also, people will search for real-ness on more levels than this - they want real interactions with real people. They want to know who made their chocolate, where do they come from, do they pay fair wages. The stories behind the people will take over from the stories behind the companies. People will search out people.
Given the power of the internet, barter once again becomes possible and viable. People will swap with people & people will do only the things they love/want to do.
