A crash course in changing the world.
I think that all the 33 secrets are important in their own way, so it's hard for me to decide for one of them. But two points I find particularly important and would like to combine them, because I think they complement each other:
"Understand by observing the environment, infrastructure, culture and lives of people by being there."
and
"talk to the people who have the problem - and LISTEN to what they have to say."
To be able to solve a problem, you have to deal with it. James Thurber once said, "It is better to know some of the questions than all of the answers." I guess this makes up a social innovator. He must know the problems that he is trying to solve. The best way to reach an understanding of a problem by watching and listening.
