I had an idea today while thinking about my other dog project which you can read about here
http://www.urgentevoke.com/profiles/blogs/daily-problems-challenge1I often think about what my dog is doing while I'm sitting here at work. I imagine her walking around, barking at people in the hall, getting into the trash, and generally just randomly moving about my apartment. This made me think about all this wasted energy she is using, and began thinking about ways I might be able to use that energy for something productive.
I just thought of this, and have come up with a few ideas so far:
1. Attach some sort of kinetic energy generator to her collar, and hook it up to perhaps a camera battery.
2. Use her mechanical movement through a certain area to create electricity by perhaps adding more doggy obstacles which she would push against to create energy, and/or perhaps panels that she would step or lie on, which would compress coils that would generate electricity.
Anyways, I'm hoping you guys might have some other ideas, and if they're easy and you give me good instructions, I'll give it a try and record us using it!
I'll keep this blog updated with any new progress.
