Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

There were a lot of secrets mentioned in the blog, you have to think about. But the one that impressed me most were "Provide skills, not just finished technologies".

The first thing that came to my mind after reading this was a quote by Confucius:

"Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day; teach a man to fish, you feed him for life."

You can see it everywhere on earth or in the society that people try to help by giving finished solutions for problems. So often a certain problem is solved, but the situation itself doesn´t really improve.

To give a starving man somthing to eat solves the problem of being hungry but he will still be hungry the next days, when you don´t fight the reason.

It doesn´t make sense to built an infratructur without teaching the people how to use and receive it.

And it´s exactly the same for technologys of every describtions. Only when people have the skills to use the technologies, they can make the most of them to improve theier situation and develop the available technologies to solve future problems.

Consequently it is more important to give the necessary skills for improving a situation than just a technology that solves a single problem and thus help people to help themselves.

I saw a doc**entary on TV and they almost said the same. They said that when we fight against poorness we should not give the people our clothes, food or things which we do not need. By giving those people our things for free, we are destroying the local market. Nobody will buy things from their own market because they will wait until they will get clothers, etc. for free,

Gunter Pauli said back on 2009: What happens if you give a man a fish? you feed him for a day. BUT what happens of you teach a man to fish? Overfishing!!
Hence it is much more than just useful technology that is required for the current challenges that humankind is facing. In my opinion, the necessary skills include ancient knowledge.

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
