Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

Now, the EVOKE vs. Citizen X story is slowly unfolding, and it struck me today while talking with an AWAKE friend (off-EVOKE for security reasons):

What if Citizen X is infiltrating us? Or will do it?

"What if Citizen X is trying to divide us?" my friend asked me, and I started thinking about it.

How could Citizen X infiltrate us?
divide us?
pull our attention in certain directions, while ignoring others?

What do you think?

by causing us to worry about it first of all. i see citizen X as the organization that the world bank is afraid of. one of the things that is so nice about the Evoke Network is how nice everyone is, staying open and imaginative is a big part of it. for instance, there is very little condemnation of corporate expansionism or environmental degradation. members of big businesses are seen more as sick friends than enemies. it's like Evoke and C X are two different reactions to the same problem Evoke is for helping a sick world, C X just wants to condemn the people who made it sick, and get alot of attention in the process. C X is also paranoid, ideological and reactionary where Evoke is conscious, idealistic, and flexible.

so how will they infiltrate us?

by making us think we have all the answers. by convincing us that there is less hope that there is. by provoking egotism. by talking truisms impossibilities and ideology. by making us angry where we should be responsible.

In the Graphic Novel there is a reference to a group (or person) known as Citizen X.

We don't know who or what it is....right now its speculation that they are an Anti-EVOKE group.

I thought of this myself - and it occurs to me that Cian is right on target. The longer we play, the more likely the number of C X and even trolls will grow. IMHO, we must remain steadfast in our unfolding quest and keep our commitment to Evoke.

i think so far we have done a great job keeping anger and arrogance out of the equations. just keep it up. and if you meet a C Xer, don't freak out. best way to keep such people down is do not give them too much attention, or try to turn their passion to more productive ends.

I keep wondering if we're going to get evoke members who are really spies for CX or someone else and add a new dimension to the posting and game.

that would be so cool!

@Nicole & Panamerica Good points. Maybe Raymond is part of Citizen X and trying to derail our conversations by talking about the threat of Citizen X.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
