Hmm, these future-y ideas seem kind of funny to me. It just sounds like those essays entitled "How I spent my summer vacations", y'know, the one's that we did in first grade. Granted, I could use a vocabulary greater than that of a first grader's.
So, I really want to throw an awesome Canada Day in 2020. For those that don't know, Canada Day takes place on July 1st, every year since 1867. People tend to be pretty patriotic about Canada Day.
As for the setting, I think it'd be awesome for there to be a sunny and windy day. In that case, there is plenty of potential for wind/solar power to supply loud music, and maybe some lights. It'd be really awesome to have a wh*** bunch of bands playing, powered entirely by solar and wind power. I think I'll go somewhere where there are many fields, yet close enough so people don't have to drive very far (hopefully cars will run on electricity).
Anyways, the main point I'm trying to get across:
- Wake up in the morning
- Go hang gliding, maybe with really close friends, take in the scenery
- Have brunch with family/close friends
- Go to site of celebration (Guelph?)
- Set up equipment, finish by 1pm, soundcheck,
- Have many bands play by solar power, wind power. Maybe until 8.
- Bonfires :)
That would make for an awesome day, surrounded by family, friends and acquaintances. Looking forward to it
