Urgent Evoke

A crash course in changing the world.

The Florida Food Security Team is a collection of agencies, both governmental and private, working in tandem to reduce overall hunger in the Florida region. By networking a number of groups with different resources, specialties and scope, then simplifying and eliminating wasteful bureaucracy where needed, efficient action levels were achieved.

Personal favorite highlight is a program by the Department of Elder Affairs providing $64 dollar coupons to the elderly to purchase local fruits and veggies from participating Farmer's Markets. Promotes nutrition among the elderly and supports local produce farmers at the same time.

Hello again, as any typical Canadian snowbird, I am going to Florida once or twice every year, so I have a real interest of what is happening there, I support your evidence,

I like that the program builds ties between local farmers and elderly folks who are in need of assistance. Even grandmas and grandpas should have good nutrition!
