I Will Monitor The Gender Equality News Sites of My Choice

how about i expose the fact that Urgent Evoke is trying to force us to look at only the news that they want us to see?

here's some dirt-digging on UN created projects that have harmed women for years:

also, in case i don't make it past the moderators, my additions to the INVESTIGATE thread:

i think that cultural aspects that promote sexism and discrimination are all around the world, and it is important that we EXPOSE and CONFRONT all of them. they are the underlying root of the problem that must be dealt with.

20. which religions and cultural stereotypes (and perversions thereof) around the world promote sexism and discrimination by perpetuating artificial gender standards and expectations throughout history – and what can be done?

21. how does a lifetime of exposure to unhealthy, mysogynist and bogus depictions of ‘ideal/pretty/subservient’ women by the media and society continue to hinder gender equality? how does it affect both the growth of women and the perspective of men on women’s rights?

22. what is the figurehead fallacy? how does considering the problem as ’solved’ harm the gender equality movement?

i will continue to monitor the news sites of my choice. Urgent Evoke agents; be SKEPTICAL and CRITICAL and find news sites of your own!

Nice work ! Gender equality is in some ways one of the most difficult problems to solve because there is so much history and tradition behind it.

But in other ways it is the easiest one to solve: I respect women and will try to treat them with the same respect I would treat everyone in all aspect of my life. Now we just need everyone to think the same thing !

Excellent information. I just want to add that the reason culture is becoming more sexualised, portraying women as sexual objects is because sex sells. Just like any sensational story that a newapaper publises to get high readership, sexualised forms of women are just another marketing tool used to make more corporate profits.

It also does not help that most western movies tend to portray the female actress as a sex symbol with the good looks, attractive body and seductive behaviour (I know its generalising), that conditions an entire culture to look different at women.

So its a self-feeding cycle in which the culture feeds this kind of twisted outlook and is the result of profit-oriented media.

"Sex sells" indeed, but it doesn't sell well to me. Every time I see a beautiful woman or seductive scene in advertising, I can not help but become aroused, however I am able to calm down and see how they are trying to use my innate sexual drive to sell their product. Then I am turned off from the product as soon as I make that realization. For me I am sold by straight up facts about the product (maybe a catchy tune); but sexy ladies that have nothing to do with the product do not work on me (at least I don't think so).

If more people can disconnect their sex drive from their consumer habits and demand straight up information about the products (and demand quality products) than the advertising industry will change with that trend.

Walking in the mall and looking at the large ads with sex symbols I can not help but want to run away before my sex drive overcomes my common sense.

Exactly, the fact that it appeals on such a deep level makes it difficult for people to realise its influences on our choices even if you are consciously trying to escape it.

it may just be a matter of being pedantic, but i think the media uses sexual frustration and exploitative pornography to sell. they objectify and mystify sexuality and nudity into these poor substitutes, while simultaneously making us feel guilty about having more natural feelings. this creates an effective method of control. it is like a big Skinner box; they ring the bell of sexual gratification, and people pay to receive nothing but more frustration.

sexuality and nudity are beautiful and natural things; we are all beautiful, inside and out. sexuality does not equal sexual frustration. nudity does not equal exploitative pornography.

NomadHAR, You are asking me to think skeptically and critically and then reference accusations about the UN and religion etc. Are you suggesting that we should get rid of the HPV vaccine because there are side effects that can severe and let many more women die with cervical cancer? Are you suggesting that we should stop using the polio vaccine because some vaccine was contaminated? Are you suggesting that we not allow women in the developing world reproductive choice because some women had the choice made for them (how many women throughout the ages have not wanted more children, but didn't have the choice and died in childbirth)?

While don't doubt your passion and commitment, I'd encourage you to question these sources. I won't accuse the UN or any large organization of being free of guilt, but some of the materials you shared appear to me to have a strong bias against any vaccines or population control which I regarded as equally damaging to womens rights.

@Mark Mulkerin: you missed the point. i WANT you to be SKEPTICAL and CRITICAL of EVERYTHING, including what i post. if you want to debate the issues i am trying to reveal, then do your own research and post sources.

there are better vaccines out there that are not CONTAMINATED INTENTIONALLY to cause side effects. did you not read the full text of the BBC doc**entary? women are being TRICKED and FORCED into sterilization; it is not a CHOICE for them. of course i support the use of vaccines, just not ones that have been poisoned for a specific agenda.

sterilization has a place when it is voluntary. it should not be used as a way to counter impregnation by RAPES. remember, a woman can be raped by her husband, too.

yes, i reference accusations, so that people will at least be AWARE of them and perhaps do their own research. i am trying to bring in ideas and theories that people are unlikely to know about. the majority has their say well doc**ented and circulated in the popular media; i am just trying bring some attention to the lesser known perspectives and theories.

@nomadHAR, Yes, I read it. Towards the end, the narrator specifies the science remains unclear. Anti-vaccine activists and anti-population control activists get one set of results, the government gets another. Neither side is without an agenda which leaves me to apply Occam's Razor - do I assume the UN is part of a widespread conspiracy (with Bill Gates) to sterilize the women of the world using tainted tetanus vaccine tested in the Philippines and the only people who know about it are folks who are opposed to family planning and vaccines to begin with or do I assume that some activists found out about some tainted vaccine and spun the story up into a conspiracy theory based on confirmation bias and anything you say to question the claims gets woven into the conspiracy. I find the latter more plausible.

Though as a skeptic, I would accept evidence that would prove me wrong like doc**ents from the drug company listing the sterilization ingredients as part of a purchase order in quantities that could only be explained as part of a widespread application or similarly persuasive evidence. Personal testimonials from biased sources don't work for me.

Cheers.

i, for one, find cover-ups to be highly plausible. government and corporate cover-ups are reported on by multiple international and well-known news organizations all the time. marginalizing and dismissing any and all ideas counter to prevailing public notions as crazy fabricated conspiracy theories is a PRIMARY tool of the entities for covering abuses and crimes. the other main tool is their power to prevent leaks of the evidence of their crimes.

NATO initially claimed that this was an 'honor killing' that special forces stumbled onto. they tried to defame and slander the journalist that found out that the women were killed by NATO forces. now, NATO admits and confirms the murders by NATO forces, while trying to dodge the fact that they tried to cover it up:

http://www.nytimes.com/2010/04/05/world/asia/05afghan.html

the USA government actually made a plan to destroy WikiLeaks which included silencing former whistleblowers:

http://file.wikileaks.org/file/us-intel-wikileaks.pdf

the Church of Scientology, Inc. initiated a vast infiltration of the USA government called Operation Snow White in an attempt to whitewash any and all negative information about them. the USA government found out and brought charges against them. they also took part in a complex operation called Operation Freakout to destroy Paulette Cooper, one of their prominent critics:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_snow_white
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Operation_Freakout

it is really difficult to find evidence when there is so much resistance not only from the guilty parties, but from people that refuse to believe that such crimes and conspiracies are possible. it can take time to get the doc**ents, but they are found due to the courage and diligence of reporters and whistleblowers.

try filtering through the following leak sites with TONS of proof; the crimes and cover-ups perpetrated in conspiracies small and large may surprise you:

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
