IT’S YEAR 2011. This is high time where I need to utilize all the information/database I have created on my Dark Site specially designed for disaster management. My Dark Site contains bulk of information along with a directory of volunteer professionals who are available on a call to come and join disaster management, recovery and rehabilitation phase. I am managing this directory and information in all the disasters (of small or big intensity) in the country or outside my country.

With the outbreak of pandemic flu in Pakistan particularly and South Asia generally, I have been very active to channelize different sources and resources to match for better results. I have two type of professional volunteers registered with me one who belong to Medical community being handled by my friend Alchemy and I am looking after the Non medical community including common people, teachers, artists, actors, comedians, lawyers, media persons etc. I have analyzed the situation and a****sed what is needed right away for ease the situation. My immediate strategy now includes two groups to be very very active and I have called them for immediate action, they are MEDIA PEOPLE linked with MASS MEDIA/TELEVISION AND RADIO and ARTISITS including Comedians, actors and singers.

I held a detailed meeting yesterday with both of the groups and we have planned to utilize their skills strategically. When we analyzed the situation we have come to know that we need finances/funding/donation immediately to meet the requirement of our medical community in terms of provision of medicines, health facilities and mobility of the medical equipments etc. Media persons associated with us are Anchorpersons of the talk shows and TV shows and Radio Shows, they have very kindly accepted our proposal of going on air and asking people to contribute in managing this disaster. We have planned as under;

a. We have 15 Anchorperson on 7 best TV channels who have regular programme of one hour daily they are going to include at least 5 minutes of public information campaign for the general public and 2 minutes for the request of donation exclusively for the medical treatment of the victims.

b. 5 Media persons are engaged with commercials, advertisement and publicity. They have planned to contact immediately the top 100 companies on their list for the immediate donations and their company would be launched in the HELPING HAND SESSION in rehabilitation phase.

c. 10 Media Persons are contacting to Government immediately in identifying the areas of immediate reaction.

When we were analyzing the situation we have observed that this pandemic influenza flu has adversely impacted on the children. It has raised the fears among children and affected their mental capacity. We are going to engage 200 local , regional and national Singers and Actor Comedians to visit the hospitals and helpout the families by giving them hope, sharing some light and comedian matter with them and focus the children specially. We are also engaging few artisits in schools who would be having interactive session with children and they would be sharing hope, boosting confidence and morale in children. Our Professional Psychologists are going have session tomorrow with these artists to give them understanding of the situation and pointing out the area where they can impact on the victims and children.

Every things has been explained in detail, we are going to implement the plan from today and we are hope full to make the difference during this disaster management process.
