Global Giving Project – Equal Education and Economic Opportunity to women in Afghanistan – April 2020

Today is 20th April 2020 and now I am in Afghanistan. I have been invited by Global Giving with other development partners on exposure visit in Afghanistan in order to see the changes and development my little initiative in April 2010 brought. In the year 2010 I was certified Evoke member and initiated my work with Global Giving in one of the project of Equal Education and Economic Opportunity to Women in Afghanistan. I helped the project by raising funds around the world. Now it is time to see the results of that little initiative.

I am excited to write about what I have experienced by interacting with the Project Beneficiaries. Oh my God how lucky I am that I helped these people and now they have stepped in to empowerment. The women of Afghanistan were never thought in 2010 to be empower and attain the education and technical skills and develop entrepreneurial skills. Oh.. My hand are shaking while typing the things I have seen today. Let me share with you, Today was decade celebration of the project. The project beneficiaries/women who were enrolled in 2010 and onwards were invited. I don’t know but how it has happened that the women who were associated with the project are now more confident, resourceful and self sufficient. I was surprised to note that the education they were given has paid off to them and to the country, investment in girls/women has far reaching impacts on the lives of wh*** household. We started from the enrollment of 200 girls/women in the project of education and technical skills and now the programme has more than 50000 graduating successful women of Afghanistan. Following are some of the main milestone achieved by the women/girls who were in Global Giving Project;

Ø Afghanistan has got 50000 educated girls/women from primary to middle and matric in just ten years.

Ø Out of these 50000 have attained diversified skills suitable to their locality such as they have acquired the skills in Cooking, Beautician, Computer, Dress Designing, Teaching, Writing and Reporting for local newspapers, Acting and Anchoring in local TV/Radio shows.

Ø Above all, Afghanistan has got 80 female parliamentarian and public representatives which are combine voice of total female population of Afghanistan.

Ø Few matriculated graduates of the project have joined security and forces and played very vital role in combating terrorism in the country.

Ø The literate women has raised voice against the production of drugs and heroine in Afghanistan and All the graduates of the programme has joined hands to get rid of the drugs from Afghanistan.

Ø Few programme beneficiary women are working as nurses, mid wives and health assistants who have very pivotal role in reducing child mortality rate, helping in healthy child birth and working with pregnant women during their pregnancy course.

Ø The more significant thing was to see that the digital division and gap has reduced, now women in Afghanistan has access to mobile phone and internet. Majority of the women who are working women have computer at home and use internet.

Thanks to GLOBAL GIVING, We are seeing Afghanistan in transition from terrorist country to the technology appreciating country, from weapons and wars to women empowerment and women votes. THANKS EVOKE – THANKS GLOBAL GIVING !

"I love that you've brought this to attention. An extensive database of uncommon but resistant and hardy plants/foods could be developed and organized by climate. Ease of growth and processing should also be taken in to account. I will try to…"

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development.The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
