PROVERBS 4: 5-8

5Get skillful and godly Wisdom, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation); do not forget and do not turn back from the words of my mouth.

6Forsake not [Wisdom], and she will keep, defend, and protect you; love her, and she will guard you.

7The beginning of Wisdom is: get Wisdom (skillful and godly Wisdom)! [For skillful and godly Wisdom is the principal thing.] And with all you have gotten, get understanding (discernment, comprehension, and interpretation).(B)

8Prize Wisdom highly and exalt her, and she will exalt and promote you; she will bring you to honor when you embrace her.

In 2020, I will be in a small village in the south of India, in a small "wisdom community" of perhaps not more than 300-400 people.
It will be a self-sustainable, multi-cultural community with multiple facets. This community would be a "model" of peace and harmony.
The community will be in harmony with nature, but it will not eschew technology and innovations in any way. Rather it would encourage the emergence of "community wisdom" (not separated from wisdom that can come in from other sources) that could be dispersed virally and otherwise across other human spaces. The community would be connected to the rest of the world digitally.
It will discover ways of being self-sufficient in energy resources and food. Central energies in the community will be playfulness in modeling, soft and open spirituality, acceptance over tolerance, knowledge and wisdom quests, emergent innovation, quest to meet not "wants" (of the superficial consumer variety) but authentic and deep and complex needs, open source techno-savvyness. The objective is "joy" in daily existence.
It will not be a venture for profiteering and yet will have enough surplus to give away to other communities in return for knowledge capital transfer from those communities, labour commitments from people in the benefiting communities in terms of time, creative inputs at all levels but particularly in the area of art, material transfers in terms of surpluses that neighbouring communities have that meet our community's needs.
Personally, I see myself spending time in meditation and prayer and being in the role of a "disseminator of wisdom". I would also be involved in creating collaborative and participatory works of arts (writing, poetry, music, video, dance, theatre, performance, new media art, etc) which are hybrids and combine the classical, the contemporary and the visionary. I would be involved a lot with youth and children in this endeavour.
I would be travelling across the world facilitating workshops that are based on the model of the "wisdom community" to which I belong so that others might get the joy of participating in this process with us or even try to create a "wisdom community" of their own.
