A crash course in changing the world.

Imagine1 - We don't need more than we need...

If the speed of brilliant changes occurs at the same rate as an economic downturn, I'd like the near future to look like this:

Global communication for all, Everyone has the internet including voice recognition and intelligent systems to translate unknown languages into the language you can read, meaning Itallians can talk directly to Mandarin etc..(you get the idea, I can't run through all the perms, LOL)

Money is equally distributed. On a given date, all money is taken into a great vat....every single cent, penny, euro, whatever...it's all given one value. Then, EVERYONE is given the SAME amount. From thereonin, there is a ceiling amount that you can earn, after that, it goes into the global Caretaker fund.

Global Caretaker fund is a central hub which looks after all earthly welfare. No longer can you donate your money to a specific charity, (and no charity fatcats with salaries to rival the bankers). All charities state their monetary need, for example, one month, this could be £100 million, donated money and global caretaker funds might come to £70 million, therefore EVERY charity gets 70% of their total need.

On a micro scale, everyone has equal rights, so everyone has enough to eat (There IS enough food to go round, it just needs to be justly managed) a place to be comfortable, to have shelter, and public transport will be free, as will the internet.

Global leaders are alloted (not voted for) from a great thinker tank - voted by the people via one vote=one person. These people have been rated by a 'niceness' indicator rating, and can be trusted with money.

We need to shy away from power structures WITHIN our planet, and concentrate on a GLOBAL power made up of TRUSTED people - if there is no monetary gain, where is the motivation for corruption.

I believe that we are PART of nature, not seperate from it, and that because we are human, we have the intellectual capacity to employ ourselves in a caretaker role for the planet - if that means that luxuries get spread around a little more, then - what the hell?

I also believe that we don't need to employ more clever people, and get cleverer all the time - we need to find responsibility first - afterall, we all survived quite well millions of years ago, and yet, with added sophisicated power structures and stupidity and greed, we are suddenly suffering more than ever.

Good points. My imagination doesn't run into specifics! and I'm sure you are right. I'm far off making a blueprint for how I think the world should be (I'd be a bad global leader, so if the plan comes about - don't vote for me - oh, wait, I'd be alloted, no voting necessary! LOL)- this post is just they way I think it would be better...I wasn't saying that we lose our basic knowledge - I apologise if it came across that way, I should have written with more clarity. As to 'there's no going back' I can't agree, I think that if aliens exist, and they come down and save the planet for us - they'd have their own systems which we'd have to live under. We can make an entirely new system if we wanted, but no-one wants to be radical enough to stop doing things we are used to because we are scared of dramatic change- I don't think you could get another system as corrupt as the one we are currently ruled by and, albeit subconciously, love and worship as if it's the only way to live.

Fourth of July on the Lake

This past weekend was the annual celebration at the lake house in Connecticut. It is amazing that the lake is still so clear and beautiful after all these years. The watershed association has done a wonderful job protecting these waters from the damaging effects of development. The wood grill was finally ready to cook on, so we didn't miss the propane tank fueled grill anymore. The food actually tasted fresher than in the past and was easy to keep fueled.Dad was very proud of the solar hybrid…See More

Stinging Nettle

In this blog post I will focus on a plant that is abundant in our nature, and which is immensely nutritious. It's of course the Stinging Nettle. Let's start with the chemical constituents of this plant:37 % Non-Nitrogen-Extracts19 - 29 % Ash9 - 21 % Fiber4 % Fat22 % ProteinOnce the leaves are drid, their protein content can reach an astounding 40 %, which is much higher than beef, which even under the best of circ**stances can never exceed 31 % protein. In addition the Stinging Nettle consists…See More

It is 7'oclock, I was late home from work due to an assignment that i wanted to get ahead on. By the time I get home I am feeling extremley tired and I cannot be bothered to make a proper meal. All of the out of date foodstuffs have been automaticaly thrown away by the fridge, they will be recycled tomorrow as animal feed or something. I see i have organic local eggs and some local cheese. Foods are vacc** sealded for easy…See More

Future

FutureToday is 2020/1/1. It is just like yesterday. The war is still continuing. It has started since 2010. In 2010, that year was a horrible year. Almost every energy ran out. Every country’s governments were crushed down at the same time. There were riots everywhere. All of the big company’s bosses were killed xdeadx in the riots. Troops fought each other everywhere. Food was bought up xawayx at once. There were no more food supplies in any shops. The economy was all crushed down. All the…See More

public servants

The exchange works directly for state and public workers and servants. It gives them credit in exchange for the amount of public work they contribute to the community. The more constructive they are based off a base rate the more credit they recieve.
