We're eating a home-cooked meal at the family farm. We raise horses for pleasure, goats and chickens for meat, milk and eggs. Tonight we're having salad, a light soup, roasted chicken, homemade ice cream and wine. The greens for the salad all come from the garden, as do tomatoes and veggies for the soup. Corn from the back field is roasted with the chicken for a hearty main course. The ice cream was made by the kids using the Play and Freeze Ice Cream Maker (sort of a soccer ball with a chamber for mixing the ice cream ingredients.) The wine tonight is an experiment in making wine from watermelon. So far it's pretty good.
