A crash course in changing the world.
My favorite holiday is and has always been Halloween. There’s just something about the atmosphere that I love. I guess it could also have something to do with all of the awesome pumpkin baked goods my local grocery store also starts offering. At this point, though, I’m in a different state, and those delicious chocolate chip pumpkin cookies are a thing of the past. My family has had a lot of fun putting spooky decorations up on the front yard. Most of these decorations do not require power, but some well placed lights and a fog machine are always good for atmosphere. These lights and the fog machine use a salt powered generator (http://dailyuw.com/2010/1/11/salt-power-leads-new-energy-sources/). I've also made Ian do a few laps around the neighborhood with his energy-producing back pack to keep the porchlight on for the kids.
